Da Silva Youngson saw two industry peers with shared common values partner up after they received an email from a client stating there are only two consultants in Perth they would work with – Alex Da Silva and Craig Youngson. Why? We take the time to listen. We take the time to understand. We are authentic.
Alex Da Silva
Alex is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a bona-fide ‘sandgroper’ with over twenty years of business experience across Australia and internationally. Starting his career in Big 4, Assurance and Advisory, he hung up his ‘accounting’ boots in 2007 to move into the search and recruitment industry and hasn’t looked back. He loves the art and science of search and is passionate about helping businesses grow through finding outstanding talent.
Having successfully completed hundreds of executive searches throughout his recruitment career, Alex is focused on building deep, lasting relationships with clients and candidates with exceptional delivery being one of the keys to his success.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University and is an active member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia & New Zealand where he advises the membership in the areas of career advisory, recruitment, retention and labour market trends. Alex’s other passions are spending time with his young family, keeping fit and manifesting his alter ego – DJ Sanchez.
Craig Youngson
After almost twenty years in the industry, including ten years in a leadership position with a local FTSE listed business, Craig decided to establish a contemporary recruitment firm, providing a fresh and flexible service for its clients, candidates and employees.
Specialising in senior and executive level accounting and finance, Craig is a career recruiter who enjoys working assignments and is passionate about building careers. With a fun and friendly, yet professional outlook, he makes the effort to get to know people while being transparent and realistic. This approach has created successful working relationships, with many candidates becoming valued clients who use Craig as a trusted advisor and recruiter of choice.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours) from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen which gave him enough exposure to accounting to recognise that he would make a terrible accountant. With three primary school aged kids, Craig is a busy family man who enjoys coaching at his local soccer club, playing golf and watching AFL.
